Maryann Platt graduated from Wesleyan University in 2011 with a B.A. in Neuroscience & Behavior. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston MA, examining neuronal migration errors in a rat model of developmental dyslexia. Maryann started her PhD at UC Irvine in September 2013 through the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program and joined the Agalliu lab in July 2014. She moved with Dr. Agalliu to Columbia in 2015, and has continued her work on the mechanisms of T cell entry into the brain in a mouse model of PANDAS.
