Noora Haghighi

Noora graduated from Virginia Tech in 2021 with a B.S. in Clinical Neuroscience. At Virginia Tech, Noora worked in the lab of Dr. Joshua Drake where she studied how mitochondrial quality in post-mitotic tissues mediates the capacity for healthy aging. 

Following graduation, Noora began work as a research assistant for Dr. Eliza Miller at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she assists in projects centered on pregnancy-associated stroke and the cerebrovascular complications of preeclampsia.

Alongside her clinical projects, Noora investigate the implications of these cerebrovascular complications on the blood-brain barrier in the Agalliu Lab.
