Justin Lengfeld

Justin joined the Agalliu Lab in the Fall 2012, where he is interested in elucidating the signaling events that occur as the blood-brain barrier breaks down between central nervous system vascular endothelial cells in the experimental mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis, Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis. Prior to joining UC Irvine and the Agalliu Lab, Justin completed his undergraduate work in Genetics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Following his undergraduate work, Justin managed a UW – Madison vascular disease lab for several years, where he worked on the cellular signaling pathways in vascular smooth muscle cells involved in the induction of abdominal aortic aneurysm.
